Favourite Game Music:

The Warriors: The Game Maker used this piece of music because it portrays a creepy scary/style. This foreshadows the game as it's a dooming, dark game with violence and danger. The effect works well, before the game even starts it creeps you out with the weird music and atmosphere. This works well because you don't know what to expect.

Gaia Online: The Gaia Online Productions team used this happy piece to portray a happy style of gameplay. Makes you feel nice and playful and not stressed or angry. The effect works very well, the happy melody makes you feel happy and also feel friendly which is what is desired in a chat room styled game.

Skyrim: Bethesda were another game developer company that worked hard on this piece of music. It's meant to portray heroism and courage. The effect works really well, styled in a Dragon Language it sounds like a an old hymn and is quite intimidating.

Legal Considerations:

When you obtain music you should consider many things, such as if it is copyrighted/owned by somebody else, if this were the case and you used it you could be fined and the piece of you used on it could be removed. The owner of a copyright has the exclusive rights to do the following: Reproduce the work and the rights to make copies of the work and also the right to distribute and sell copies of the work to the public. You may have bought a CD or paid for some music online. You still need to obtain written clearance from the owner of the copyright to use it in a film production. This may require authorisation from both the record label (the publisher) and the songwriter and performer, as in some cases the rights are held jointly.
